John Paul The Great Reading Room

Posted on February 24, 2017 in: General News

The book being offered this week is: “Ten Evenings with God” by Ilia Delio, OSF Most of us occasionally have longed for a billboard message from God telling us which direction to take in life. Can spending ten evenings with God take the frustration and panic out of life’s decisions? We want to do God’s will but more often than we want to admit, we find that we do just the opposite. Sometimes the gift of free will does not seem like God has done us a favor. Being able to choose freely whether to love God or to do our own thing is a precious gift.

The musical CD being highlighted this week is: "Music for Quiet Listening" - which is a compilation of beautiful musical pieces with Howard Hanson conducting the Eastman-Rochester Orchestra. You are welcome to stop by Mother Pauline’s Thrift Shop building Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 AM - 1 PM to select this and many other interesting books and CD’s that are available for you to enjoy.
