CEMETERY CLEAN-UP

It is that time of year when we are removing old flowers, pots, etc. from the graves at the cemetery to get ready for the winter and upcoming Christmas holiday. All flags were removed from our veterans graves and will be replaced on Memorial Day weekend. Please remember to take your trash with you because there is no garbage pickup in the cemetery.

CONCERT AND HOLY HOUR

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Allentown is hosting Project 177 - A Holy Hour and full concert on Friday, November 16 at 6:30 PM. It will include top Catholic recording artists in the country, Marie Miller who sang for the Pope in Philadelphia, Ben Wagner whose first album just came out, with well-known local priests leading the Holy Hour. In the midst of the season of earthly harvest the church invites us to reflect upon the harvest of souls especially during the month of November when the liturgical year draws to a close. As has been our tradition in the past, we will honor our deceased loved ones by inviting you to bring photos of deceased family members and friends which we have placed upon our purgatorial altar (altar of the Blessed Virgin Mary). The Book of the Dead is in front of the altar so that you may enter the names of the departed which we will pray for at every Mass in November.
